Training
- Studied with Dr. Ida Rolf at the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado. Certified Rolfer, which is a
deep myofascial release technique.
- Trained with Judith Aston, Mill Valley, CA, from mid 1970's into the 1080's
- Aston Patterning has a premise that three dimensional, spiral movement is what produces
ease and minimizes stress throughout the body. This concept is taught in movement
lessons that address such things as sitting in "neutral, reaching, turning, bending, lifting,
breathing, and running. These lessons can then be applied to specialize activities such as
sports, playing musical instruments, deskwork (sitting at a computer), or an activity of daily
living. The work also has a myofascial release technique, a massage form, and a
technique that "decompresses" joints.
